Did You Know? Last year the Spalding University Volleyball Team captured the USCAA National Title. In 2007 the Volleyball Team came up a game short of winning the National Championship by losing in the Final Game. The 2009 team marks only the second time a Spalding Athletic team has won a National Championship |
Spalding University Attacks USCAA Week Four in the USCAA was a great one for Spalding’s women’s volleyball and men’s soccer teams. Both teams have cracked the top 5 and do not intend to leave. Spalding’s volleyball team is ranked # 1 in the nation for the second straight week with 274 votes and men’s soccer moves up to the 4th spot with 181 votes. Women’s Volleyball moves their record to 14-3 playing Principia tonight and Webster University tomorrow night. Both matches will be a test and the Golden Eagles hope to come out on top. Men’s Soccer improved their record to 8-2 and the Golden Eagles continue conference play Thursday against Eureka College and Saturday the 10th against MacMurray. Both teams are right in the middle of conference play and look to stay on top going into the national tournament in a few weeks.
