SPALDING WOMEN GET FOURTH SEED IN USCAA NATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT The Spalding University women’s basketball team will begin defense of their 2009 USCAA National Championship next week in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The tournament will be held on the campus of Penn State University-Fayette from March 3-6. The Golden Eagles completed their regular season with a record of 13-12 overall and 9-7 in the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Spalding is seeded fourth in the twelve-team tournament and will receive a first-round bye. The Golden Eagles will play the winner of a first round game between Rochester College (Michigan) and Penn State Fayette on Thursday, March 4 at 6:00 PM.
