
Reed’s Double-Double Lifts Spalding to Victory The Spalding University Golden Eagles Women’s Basketball Team was able to get a convincing win at Principia College on Monday, January 25. With the victory, Spalding moves to 9-8 overall and 5-3 in conference play. Lauren Reed, a junior forward for the Golden Eagles, recorded a double-double in the win on Monday night. She finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds. 10 of Reed’s 12 rebounds were on the offensive end of the floor, which helped her to get second chance points for Spalding. Kelly Harrod was also able to play a solid game for the Golden Eagles. She finished the game with 18 points and 7 rebounds. The Golden Eagles now sit in 3rd place in the SLIAC and hope to do more damage in conference play. The Golden Eagles’ next game will be played on Thursday, January 28 at Westminster College. Spalding is hoping to earn another conference victory so that they can remain at the top of the conference. |
