USCAA Rankings Coming Down to the Wire
The Week 5 Polls for Volleyball, Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer have been released.
The final spots for Women's Volleyball and Soccer are coming down to the wire, while the Men's Soccer Poll stays strong at the top.
Spalding’s Women’s Volleyball Team holds on to their number one spot through the week 5. They had an impressive week going 4-1 with their only loss coming at the hands of Webster University, a conference rival. They have improved to 18-4 overall and look to continue their domination going in the year’s final weeks. The team looks to replicate it last year’s success when it captured the USCAA National Championship for the first time in school history. This year the National Tournament is being held in Louisville, KY and hosted by the Golden Eagles Next match is tomorrow Wednesday October 14 at Indiana University Southeast.
Spalding’s Men’s Soccer team is holding down the number five spot in the poll after a decisive win against conference opponent MacMurray College. Being a contender in the USCAA is something the coaches have talked about all season. “Obviously being a contender was a goal of ours from the start,” says Head Coach Kevin Cromwell. “In no way does it mean we are satisfied or have reached our pinnacle but we are definitely proud of the way we have played and look forward to continuing to move forward.” With the win over MacMurray the team moved its record to 9-2 overall. Their next contest is Saturday October 17 against Principia College at home.
