Harkins Nets Conference Honors

After a week in which the Men’s Soccer team went 2-0 beating St. Thomas More College and the College of Mount St. Joseph, the honors just keep rolling in.

Spalding University's Aaron Harkins, a senior from Waldorf, Md. (Oldham County (Ky.)), has been named the SLIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 7-13. Harkins, a 5-9 goalkeeper, recorded 10 saves in a complete game shutout versus Thomas More College. He faced a total of 32 shots in 90 minutes in goal, as the Golden Eagles tallied the 2-0 victory.

"Aaron played another outstanding game for us," commented Spalding head coach Kevin Cromwell. "We played 20 minutes down a man, and his punts and goal kicks continually got us out of trouble."
