Early in the first half the Golden Eagles were leading 16-8 but over a span of 5 minutes Westminster was able to tie the game up at 16. Dewhon Mcafee had played a good first half, scoring eight points and knocking down two three pointer to go along with four rebounds. The two teams played back and forth for the rest of the first half with the score at the half being 28-27 with Westminster in the lead. The second half was much of the same at the beginning. With eleven minutes left in the game the score was tied at 38. This was when Westminster started to knock down their 3 point shots. Westminster shot fifty percent from behind the three point line in the second half, hitting 5 threes. Big games from Spalding guards Dewhon Mcafee and Cody Curtsinger was not enough to bring the Golden Eagles back.
