Coach Gandolfo comes to Spalding after a two year stint as an Assistant Varsity Boys’ Coach at Louisville Collegiate. Those two years at Collegiate were the two most successful seasons in Collegiate’s basketball history. Last season culminated with a trip to the State All A Classic where Collegiate lost to Rose Hill Christian by three. Prior to Collegiate, Coach Gandolfo was the Head Boys’ Coach at St. Francis High School for five seasons. He was the Athletic Director at St. Francis for four of those years. While at St. Francis, Coach Gandolfo led St. Francis to their first ever win in the district tournament.
Coach Gandolfo was a student assistant coach for the Men’s team at Bellarmine where he met Coach Just. Coach Gandolfo finished his degree at the University of Louisville where he worked with Hall of Fame Coach Denny Crum’s basketball program.
Coach Gandolfo is currently a local real estate agent and he is married to Chrissy Preston Gandolfo. Together they have two kids, Nia and Rocco. |
